I've got a question regarding the capabilities of Numbers. In the past I've used a Numbers spreadsheet as a very simple database for an event. We have a large group of Middle Schoolers and we break them up into 8 different team designated by color (red, green, blue, etc). In the past I have had a worksheet that is one "Master" list with all of the students on it regardless of their team, and then I have had separate worksheets that have been for specific teams. Last year whenever a new student was entered we manually copy and pasted that students info into the team worksheets from the master. But I was wondering if it is possible to create a formula that would recognize when a student is on a certain team - red for example - and automatically add that student to the Red Team worksheet. Is this possible?
I should note that on the master page I have a lot of information for each student (name, grade, age, team, email, emergency contact, etc) and I would want all of that information to populate the worksheet.
