Using a PCI Serial Card with Vmware?

Hi Everyone!
I have a mac pro and recently bought a PCI RS-232 (serial) card. The operating system recognizes it perfectly but I would like to use them in vmware fusion. Has anyone had experience with this? I see that there is an option to save the output of a virtual serial port in vmware, but I haven't quite figured this out.

PS- It shows up using labview under /dev/cu.pci-serial2a but I can't figure out how to bind it to vmware.

I really don't know. There is probably a way in the VM configuration screens.

However, I can recommend and have used the Keyspan USB to RS/232 adapter http://www.tripplite.com/en/products/model.cfm?txtSeriesID=518&txtModelID=3914 with my Macs natively and under VMWare successfully.
