Using a remote for an iPhone

Is there any way to use a remote to control my iPhone. The intention of using a remote is that I will need to control the music for an upcoming wedding.

Edit - sorry, read your question wrong. Thought you wanted to use your phone as the remote. Not to remotely control music on phone.
