Hey guys,

I saw a few threads here and there but non of them we're about the Late 2013 model of the rMBP so I'm asking you (if you own one) if the performance is worst on a 1680 x 1050 scaled res using only the integrated chipset, Intel Iris PRO.

Thanks, have a nice day !

I don't have any solid benchmarks, but I run mine at 1680x1050 mode and nothing feels "slow" for day to day use.

Day to day being: web browsing, standard office stuff, VMware for Windows 8.1, Photoshop, Premiere Pro with 1080p clips and Lightroom use.

I have a 13" with Intel Iris and no there's isn't a performance difference at the higher res. I love it.

Except this one thread here:

In the end it seems that it depends a lot on the person. Some feel that there is lag, and more on the higher resolutions. This group includes me. Others say it is fine and/or just as laggy as other machines.

That user sees "normal" OS X lag. Launchpad is a bit choppy on my cMBP Late 2011 also.

Great news. Thanks !

That's what I wanted to hear ! :)

I always run the 1680x1050 as a default. I personally don't notice any difference in lagginess or speed of anything to having the 750M enabled. With an external monitor the 750M shows some laggy behavior. Without the external I rarely see any of that. Iris Pro shows no sign of any different performance but I obviously can only use it with one screen. I usually force it with gfxCardStatus when I am on one screen as that is always when the notebook is NOT on the desk.

My Macbook just arrived, I have the base model, so no 750M for me.
I selected 1680x1050 and I am going to use it as default.
Finger's crossed for no lagging and good performance !

I noticed it lags only when the battery is low, I'm guessing that's because OS X under clocks the computer...
