Hi all,
I'm currently running a setup with a Time Capsule as the primary router and an Airport Extreme Base Station as a bridge to my tivo / slingbox, as well as a network extender. Due to some legacy devices and iPhones / iPods, we need to run both in 2.4ghz compatibility mode. I was thinking of upgrading both to dual-band devices, but I'm curious what luck people have had by just upgrading one of the two devices. My logic would be that the Time Capsule can stay as is, and I would change that to be 5ghz N-Only. Then my AEBS would extend the network on the 5Ghz band, but broadcast both a 2.4ghz (compatibility mode) and 5ghz (N-only) signal. Just wondering what luck people have had mixing the two up. Thanks!
