using a stereo bluetooth headset

for some reason when I pair my headset with my iphone I can hear the person out of the speakers however the mic doesn't work.

What kind of headset do you have? My JabBird Freedoms work fine for phone and music. Are they new? Maybe they are defective. More info could really help us figure out your problem.

Generally no trick to it, I use Motorola S9 with my iPhone 4.

they worked on my last phone and w/ my computer for that matter.

I just came seem to make them work, i've tried resyncing them and that didn't work.

again, I can hear them talking in the background but they can't hear me. It work on every other device and my computer.
