Using a USB splitter with Airport Extreme?

I have an airport extreme basestation. I have 2 printers. Right now only one printer can hook up to the AE because there is only 1 usb port on the AE. If i were to buy a USB splitter, can i hook up the second printer? Will AE accept the spitter and power both printers?
