Using a USB Superdrive to install Windows?

I have the first unibody 15" Macbook Pro model (I believe it was 2009?). The superdrive on it doesn't function correctly so I'm unable to install Windows via bootcamp. I was wondering if I could use an Apple USB Superdrive to install Windows? Thanks!

You can probably get a third party one for cheaper - it will work the same. It should work just fine.
