Anyone here with experience using a VM to run older MacOS on an M1 (Monterey)?

If so advice on VM and load up from TimeMachine?

I’ve performed a DA(f)S, and it seems odd that I’m the first person to consider this work around.
My 2010 MBP recently died, Apple assured me that Rosetta 2 would be able to run CS-6 and other legacy apps prior to purchasing a new MBP.
In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, “They LIED!”

You can’t. The M1 and Intel are different chip architectures. There isn’t an Intel emulator for M-series yet that can run Intel-based Mac OS as a guest OS on M-series host.

Thank you.
Is there a way to get CS-6 to run on Monterey?
Or if there’s plans for an emulator to be released?
I’m not a fan of the saas model.

Personally I’ve given up on the hassle of running older software on newer OSs. If there’s a way, someone might chime in. But what I’d do in your situation, is look at Affinity. 30-day trial, and if you decide you like it then it’s a one-time manageable purchase price, not a subscription.
