Hey guys,

I am planning on getting a new MacBook Pro shorty and I want to upgrade my wireless network in my home to 802.11 N. What I would also like to do is have the router have a USB port so I can connect a Printer and a External Hard drive to it.

So that leads me to the following questions,

Can I use the Mac's Airport Disk and Time Machine with the external hard drive if its connected to a third party wireless router.

Second is What would be a good router to get? I have been looking around and there are alot of different options out there including Apples own rendition. But what would you recommend getting?

As it stands right now I have a Linksys WRT54G. I am planning on turning that into just a wired router so I can connect my new Wireless router to one of its WAN connections. Because my cable modem is in a different part of my house and I want to keep my Printer and HDD in a separate location.

As you can see I'm sorta lost right now as to what options would be best suited for my situation.

Thanks for the help!
