I have a LinkSys mesh network with 4 nodes in my home that works great. However, each node only has two ethernet ports and I'm in need of 3 ports for my Mac mini, TV and Silicon Dust TV turner. I have an AEBS that is unused as I was wondering if it could be connected to the LinkSys node's ethernet port, then have the 3 ports on the AEBS to use (giving a total of 4 available ethernet ports). Is this do-able?

Yes. It should work as a switch with no problem. That's how I'm using mine. Be sure to go into Airport Utility and disable the wireless.
