Hi all new to the forum but have been waiting for the new iMac for nearly a year, I'm wondering if there is anyway of using the iMac as a TV as well as a computer ?

Yes, I use a Belkin HDMI to mini display converter to connect my PS3.

So long as your iMac is 2010 or earlier, yes. Nothing for the newer models yet.
