Using an iPad on your lap with a bluetooth keyboard?

Is there a way of using an iPad on your lap or if you're sitting up in bed while typing on a standalone Bluetooth keyboard, like the Targus model or Apple wireless keyboard?

The Smart Cover doesn't work in these situations unless you manage to balance things very well.

get a folio type case that stands up the laptop in the back and then you can set your keyboard on the front.
