Using an iPhone as a modem cost money with t-mobile?

I am using tzones on my iPhone and I was thinking about using my iPhone as a modem for my macbook if I can't find wi-fi. For those of you who have done this, Will this cost extra with tmobile? I really don't need a huge bill.
