I'd like to use my iPhone solely as a recorder for phone calls on a landline. So I WOULD NOT be using my iPhone to make calls -- it would be for recording landline calls. Before anyone drops in with the old legal mumbo jumbo, I'm an editor who is interviewing a number of people in the coming week or two and, yes, I will be informing all of them that they are being recorded.

So, I have a Radio Shack Telephone Handset Recording Controller, but I'm wondering if I can plug the external mic jack into my iPhone's headphone jack and record a landline conversation that way. I can't seem to work it with the native Voice Memos app. Any other way to do it?
