Hi I would like to use the internet connection from my G4 through my Extreme and allow my Macbook Pro to access internet wireless thru airport. I have an USB Speedtouch broadband modem that I cannot use with my MBP as Airport Utility is asking me to connect modem into the WAN port and I have nothing to connect into there.
Until I buy an ethernet modem I cannot put the internet connection straight into the WAN port in the Extreme. I have the G4 and MBP both connected and sharing files with each other through the Extreme via an G4>Extreme ethernet connection. I would like the MBP to be able to connect to the internet using the G4's internet connection but I am having trouble with what settings to use on both machines via the Sharing settings. G4 is running 10.3.9 and MBP is running Leopard. Is this possible? If not im just going to have to buy another modem. The USB modem is connected to the G4 as when I connect it to the Extreme the G4 cannot find it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Liz.
