Using Apple Mail & adding a "important" folder?

I am using Apple Mail for sending/receiving all my email. I have Apple Mail setup as:

Gmail=imap
Mobile=imap
Comcast=pop

I access mail thru my MBP and my iphone 3GS, is there a way to add a folder called something like "Important" so I can move important email that I want/need to save for a little while and move them out of my inbox?
