Using Apple Store GC on iPhone 8?

So I made the dumb decision of requesting a refund for AC+ for my iP7 thinking I was going to trade it in and get the 8 instead. Here I am cancelling my preorder and wanting to keep my iPhone 7 and have a $62 gift card to use from Apple that I have no idea what to spend it on (I already purchased a case prior to this).. so would using the gift card on an iPhone 8 SIM Free be a good idea, or should I spend it on something else? Normally I’d always need/find something on apple.com that I want to get, but not this time..

If You didn't want to use the gift card for the iPhone, you could use it for an accessory to the iPhone you want later on. Perhaps a case, or put it towards the AirPad that's available in 2018 for wireless charging.
