Thank you for reading this. It is my understanding there are applescripts ("Doug's Applescripts," I believe) which enable you to take a library ripped at lossless and downsize it to AAC for your iPod while retaining the original lossless library on the computer. Does anyone have actual experience doing this? If so, I have a couple of questions. Thanks.
(1) After you've downsized your library to AAC and dropped it on your iPod - but maintained the original losses computer library - what happens when you synch the next time? Does it confuse the process? Are lossless songs trying to get on the iPod and/or AAC trying to get on the computer? What happens?
(2) How do you maintain/view the two libraries - the lossless library and the AAC library?
Thank you for your thoughts.
