Using Autofill to login to captive WiFI portal?

In iOS 5, I could use Autofill to remember my credentials for a captive WiFi portal. Now under iOS 6, the Autofill button is there when I get the Wifi portal's login screen, but I never get the option to save my login & password.

Has anyone found a way to do this yet?

Autofill very much depends on the keywords used, in my experience. On my iPad its working for User ID and Password when prompted as that, for other sites it does not work.

Well, I used it for this same WiFi network when I had iOS 5, but now it doesn't work on iOS 6.
