Hello all,
I am trying to install windows on my macbook pro, and I am running into a problem. My internal dvd-rom optical drive is broken, and therefore I am using an external one (a cheap iomega if that makes a difference). I have successfully partitioned the drive, but when Boot Camp asks me to restart the computer restarts but fails to recognize the external drive as bootable, and thus just loads Os X again. I have told it to use this drive as the boot drive in the "startup disk" menu in System Preferences, but it still refuses to boot from the external drive.
Is there a way to boot from this drive, or am I out of luck here?
Thank you very much,
-Eld
