Using both a Mini and iPad with Studio Display?

Hello.

I’ve wondered, for those who use these two devices with their studio display… Do you just plug out the monitor cable from the Mini and plug it into the iPad? What will happen to the Mini in the meantime? Does it continue to run screenless until i connect it to the monitor again?

Typically any Mac can run headless. I'm sure it'll work fine.

I’ve unplugged monitors from various Mac minis for the last 10 years without issue.
