Picked up a new MBP 15". I used Super Duper to clone my existing drive onto an external drive. Booted 15" MBP from external drive, imaged to internal drive (500G 7200 Momentus drive) using Super Duper. Machine boots ok, but noticed a few oddities. I'm having some license issues with software. I guess these use MAC address.

But, the oddest thing so far is that my sound device isn't recognized at all. I'm guessing I'm missing a kext or something. Anyway just thought I'd give the FYI if anyone is planning to go this route. I should probably just re-install anyway.

I would put a clean install in the new machine as their are hardware changes under the hood not supported by your previous machine. Always do this with a new machine unless it is exactly the same model as before.

Yeah, I had figured since it's basically a unix machine, it would have whatever drivers were needed in the install. Oh well.
