Been offered a Core Duo 1.66Ghz Mac Mini, with a 60gb HDD and 2gb of Ram for £150. Tempted to get it, for times like iḿ stuck in now, and my Stupid MBP is being fixed by Apple all the time :(

Will put Snow Leopard on it, and just run it for Pages, Safari, Mail and iTunes.

Might get a small SSD for it too.

Worth getting?

oof

Can't speak to the price relative to the market, but I still have a slightly newer mini in use driving a TV and stereo. Also running Snow Leopard. I have slightly more ram and it's the 1.83 Ghz Core 2 Duo, but I suspect most things except streaming movies (or even viewing youtube) would work fine for you.

I had the same machine. Sold it on ebay for 175. Good machine but I wanted to be up to date. So I sold it and got a 2011 the latest. But for your needs it should be ok. Even firefox goes all the way back to 10.5 so you're good.
