Using Dashboard as a startpage

Yeh I know it sounds weird..

Now the thing is, as soon as my computer has booted, I would like to have a sort of starting point that would display my ical events, tasks, email and most important feed right at a glance.
Now I dont want to bother syncing my data online thru Google's services for example. I just want them to remain local.

So is there a way to auto start dashboard when the computer boots up?

You could add dashboard to the items that automatically at login. This is done under accounts in system prefs.

ok well that was easy, just added dashboard in the login items, did not think it would work but it does
