It's a dirty world out there and yes, I am using a webcam on the popular website, Adultfriendfinder. Have you ever had any luck using a Logitech cam on that site with Macbook?. The cam (the Logitech) will work with Ichat, so I know the cam works. They have some instructions on how to change the Flash settings (in order to designate a different cam), but following them didn't do anything. I have a feeling it is website specific, and unless you have actually gotten this to work on this site, would be difficult to troubleshoot.

The problem with using the Isight cam installed on the Macbook is that you can't move the camera without moving the computer, and one may want to use both the keyboard and the camera at the same time (and may desire to have the camera pointed to where it makes it difficult to use the keyboard).

Using a Mac compatible Logitech quickcam vision pro.

thanks for any help.

do they have a support contact email that you could use. Im betting like you said its website specific. You cant be the first mac user to have this problem. They might be able to run through some settings with you

I tinkered with the settings on this page: Macromedia Settings Manager

Eventually I could pick 'USB webcam' from the list in my usual Flash chat, and it worked.

Hope this works for you as well
