using dtunes to watch mp4 movies ?

I have an iphone 3G 8g which is jailbroken and has cydia , installous, dtunes, bossprefs loaded , I,ve downloaded a movies from tysiphonehelp.com it downloaded ok to dtunes but when I open dtunes and try to watch it a message pops up on the screen ' This movie format is not supported '
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong . All help and advice welcome
