Using DVI to hookup to Bigger Screen

Does anybody know if its possible to hook up the unibody macbook pro to a 60 Inch Screen using DVI

Yes. You need the Displayport -> DVI adapter.

I can't imagine he'd be using anything but a TV at that size.

True. In that case he would only need to standard DVI adapter because the highest res 60" TV would be 1080p at 1920x1080.
