I'm trying to use F1-F12 key WITHOUT the Fn key if possible. I know I can goto the keyboard kettings and check "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" and I can use F1-F6 without the function keys but I can no longer control iTunes with F8-F12 without the Fn button.. either way the FN key will have to be used for something. I have a trackpad so I really have no use for F1-F4 and would like for those to be usable without the Fn button so I want to keep "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" unchecked. That way the whole row of function keys won't need the Fn button

Is this possible?

OP says "I know I can goto the keyboard kettings and check "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys"". He wants FN functionality for some and others not.

Completely overlooked that. Well the image should help those who don't know.
