Hello...

I am experimenting with using "Facetime" between 2 iPads to do a radio program.

One host is in studio, the other is remote from his home - it works GREAT - no latency, they can see one another and beats expensive ISDN costs or other expensive VoIP hardware...

Problem is the audio difference between the 2 is noticeable. Facetime is not made for this - it is a social app so I am sure Apple did not "mac-out" the full potential of the audio card for this app. Where it is better than phone, it is not quite broadcast quality - but I know for a fact the iPads hardware CAN do broadcast quality on other audio apps I use.

Any suggestions on other video apps that might have top quality audio or better yet, any ideas how to marry the 2 (high quality audio with video)? The technology is there - it just hasn't been put together yet.

If I knew how to design apps, there is money to be made here - Stations across the world would pay a few hundred bucks a pop for an app that could save the the high cost of ISDN or other VoIP equipment and fees.
