After reading the post on the front page about using the webcam as a means to spy on people, I thought it would be cool to access my own FaceTime HD Camera remotely to see what's going on in front of my camera whenever I want.
This article gives steps to accomplish this using the FaceTime app; all you need to do is enter a few terminal commands to automatically accept FaceTime calls from a selected number and you're on your way.
Now my question is this - what exactly do those terminal commands change on the system? I know one command allows FaceTime to auto accept calls and the other tells it which numbers to auto-accept the call from, but what do those commands affect? Is it a preference file? Or some hidden file? And if I decide down the road I don't want to use this anymore, how would I go about un-doing the steps shown in the article?
