Using Firfox though can't use Safari

Hi

I use Firefox quite a lot and haven't use Safari for quite a while. I have noticed that when I click on the @ symbol Firefox comes up. If I have Firefox up and running and I click @ this open a new tab in Firefox.

I remember that Safari would pop by pressing @ I tried dragging an address to @ but nothing happened. Anybody now how to get Safari to pop up when you click @?
