Using FTP With my macbook

Hello fellas
I have a macbook with leoaprd installed. I wish to set it up as an FTP server so that i can remotely access my files. If i do it thru sharing in the system preferences, the ftp server is setup. But its limited to my home network only. How can i share it over the internet knowing that i have dynamic ip and theres no static ip service here. And also i dont want to invest any money..

Take a look at this, if you have a firewall/NAT you will need to poke a hole in it as well.

You might also want to check out PureFTPd Manger, which allows more control over things like external accounts than you can get with the built-in FTP service.

Many but not all routers can be DynDNS clients and will automatically update your IP for you, and you wont have to run a Client program on your computer.
