Alrighty, so here's my setup:
Macbook with a 320GB WD External Hard drive connected via Firewire. I just purchased a 10GB 1st Gen iPod. My Hard drive has two fire wire ports on the back, along with USB2.0

My dilemma is all of my music is on the External Hard Drive connected to my MB via firewire and I want to put music on my "new" iPod - which only connects via firewire. Will it be possible to connect the iPod to teh back of the Hard Drive and have the macbook see it?

Thanks much,

Yup, it's called daisy chaining and it'll work fine, that's why it has 2 FW ports!

Nice,
