Using iExplorer (iPhone Explorer) to recover music from iPhone, etc.

Hi, I'm trying to recover music and other media from my iPhone because the hard drive on my computer crashed, and most of my music was from CD's, not iTunes. I've been trying to use iPhone Explorer (now iExplorer), but I can't find any of the media files. The only files showing up under my device are Root and Apps. Am I missing something?
