Hi all, would it be possible to use my 2013 iMac as a secondary display for my 2015 rMBP? If possible what cable would I require?

Thanks.

That support page doesn't list a 2013 iMac as Target Display capable.
Could it be possible to connect an HDMI display emulator and access the second screen via Screen Sharing?
I believe the support page does include the 2013 iMac. The range of "iMac (Mid 2011-Mid 2014)" reads to me as iMac (Mid 2011 to Mid 2014) which would include 2013.

I do not think that HDMI would work, otherwise Apple would probably have listed it as an option in the support document. I currently do not have a iMac capable of supporting Target Display so I can not test it and can only go by the Apple Support information.

You're right...I misread that.

The HDMI trick I referred to is the method folks use to run display-less computers that they're going to access remotely.
