Is it possible to set this up?
Lots of people here want use iMovie, but the accounts we have mean that all our folders such as ~/Movies/ are stored on servers. When we use iMovie the connection is too slow for it to work efficiently and iMovie just spits back errors, when we try to import we get the same thing.
However our machines all have a second local hard drive, which we could use as a working directory for iMovie (and infact do so at the minute, but its laborious and only one person in the dept remembers how to do it). Would it be possible to change the working directory in iMovie by default either using symbolic links or by editing the preferences file?
