have any of you guys tried or are using your old iphone cases?

since length and width are the same, and the thickness difference is about 1mm, the old cases should work just fine...

with the exception of the hard plastic cases and the shield-like wrappings, of course.

I used my wife's old silicone case on my 3G until I could find one I liked. It definitely did not fit as well on the 3G, but it was definitely usable (just a little floppy).

My real concern is that I was having problems with the touchscreen when I went from an air conditioned office to the summer heat outside. I had a Genius check it for hardware issues and there were none, so he reflashed with the same version I flashed. The problem went away. I can't explain it, but I think it was the old case (obviously this wouldn't apply to all cases, just the coverage of mine). I'm waiting for another hot day to put the 3G back in the old case to see what happens...
