Hi,

I hope someone can help give me some advice on this.

Strange request, here is the reason:

I work on medical equipment that emits infrared light (750 to 820 nM).
I used to have a Blackberry - and a really useful feature is that the camera can see infrared, so put it in camera mode and you can look for light leaks etc.

This has been taken away from me and replaced with an iPhone 5. The iPhones, 4 and 5, can not see infrared so a really useful tool has gone.

Many small cameras that are used for webcams and security cameras can see IR - and I want to know if there is any easy way to link the iPhone 4 to such an external camera?
(I'd rather use my old personal iPhone 4 than the new 5 for experiments. Saves embarrassment when I kill it...)

I've seen wikis and threads talking about adding an external mike, but never an external camera.

I know I can do it with a wireless camera (such as a security camera) but it seems massive overkill to use wireless when I would prefer the camera and phone to be in the same hand. A wired connection would be ideal.

Thanks,
