I'm a pretty serious web designer so I've never had a need to use iWeb, and iPhoto '06 crashed on me so much that I never got into using it. However, the one thing I've never found a relatively painless solution for is putting a large number of photos online. I've tried Gallery2 (the PHP one), which was OK but required too much maintenance and fiddling. Right now I use Google's Picasa for personal stuff, which is also OK but isn't the most flexible or pretty thing in the world.

The new iLife '08, though, looks intriguing. Here's my question: can I use iPhoto (perhaps in conjunction with iWeb?) to publish nicely formatted galleries, complete with thumbnails and all that, onto a server of my choosing (I don't use .Mac)? Is is quick and relatively painless? Does anyone do this and have some tips? Thanks.
