Using locally stored SHSH to dwngrade from 4.0

I've been searching all over for this information, so I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes by asking this...

I've got a 3GS, upgraded to 4.0. I would like to downgrade back to 3.1.3 to jailbreak & unlock it so my special lady friend can use it on T-Mobile once i get iP4.

I used umbrella to get my SHSH off the phone before I upgraded, but I did not upload this to Cydia.

How/Can I use this to downgrade?

If yes, could you point me to instructions or detail them below?
