This may be a stupid question...

But I am going in a flight from San Deigo to Miami next week.

I am considering getting an iPad Mini LTE to use on the plane while I am there.

I just want to make sure reception for LTE function will be available from what other have experienced in their travels.

You will have to use the iPad in airplane mode in flight so LTE will not be available
You would be able to use WiFi if available on the flight

You are not allowed to use cellular connection on an airplane.

You will have to purchase a wifi package for your flight if the airline/airplane has this feature.

And you can't reach the cell towers from 30,000 feet. It's not a satellite connection.
