Hi!

I am about to invest in 2 Mac Minis (Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83Ghz) to serve as a render farm for Compressor.

In case you are curious, I live in Manhattan and in a studio, with limited room space, I don't have the luxury of having more than 2 Pro towers without making my living space look too much like an office. Also an X-Serve is beyond my price point for now.

I figured 2 Mac Minis may work better for me, tuck in the corner or sitting on top of my G5 tower. Has anyone here ever have such a set up? I know theorectically I should be able to run Compressor on it, and someone on this forum confirmed it a while back.

But my question would be will running 2 Mac Minis be advisable or would getting an iMac be a better option. Truth be told, I don't really need the monitor since they are just going to be rendering all the tons of video I am working on right now.

Thank you.
