Can anyone suggest a really good fax program for my iMac? I'm using a G4 and Jaguar. I know FaxSTF comes preloaded, but only as a system 9 version. If I'm going to have to pay for one, I want to get a good one.

I've seen a few choices. Does anyone have an opinion about PageSender 3.3?
Thanks.

Are you aware that basic fax support is built in? Every Print sheet has a Fax button.

Edit: As mentioned a few posts down, it's new to Panther.

fax support is built in panther. it isn't there for jag.

pageSender is a very highly regarded software program, but check how well it works under jaguar.

O.K. I will check. By the way, is the built-in fax software in Panther still FaxSTF?
Thanks.
No, it's part of the OS (System Preferences/Print and Fax).

It would be a bit light on for features if you were doing a lot of fax sending or receiving.

NO. It Apple software built into the print window. VERY basic features. Uses Apple's AddressBook for fax numbers. It may only work with built-in modem.

It seems to work with Bluetooth modem as well, since I have to change this setting to the built-in modem every time I use it. Works fine, but it always seems like it's still busy doing something even after it shows that the fax has been sent. Never tried receiving a fax though... not too practical to keep the phone line attached to a laptop when you're always online wirelessly. :)

The webpage says PageSender is compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar and
OS X 10.3 Panther Compatible.

Anything else I should look for before I buy? It seems to have a lot of great features. I just need it to be simple to use.

Thanks.
