Using MacBook for dual screen with iMac

Is this possible and what will i need to accomplish it?

btw; if it wasn't clear i want to use my macbook as a second screen for my imac
 
Please do a search for detailed answers. There are 100s of these threads.

The sort answer is NO. The MacBook (like the iMac, and the MacBook Pro) do not have video input. There is some software that I can't remember the name of (see above for the search idea) that can do it over a network.
 
searched a couple of times, must be searching wrong keywords, anyway thanks ill try and find the name of that software
