Just a quick question. I've been out more recently using my laptop at Barnes and Noble, or Panera Bread, etc. Public Wifi spots.

My main concern has to do with security. I know that Mac's are much more secure by default, however, do I really need to think twice about logging into my email or something like that in a public place? Obviously everyone is using their laptop in public nowadays..but what steps do I need to take..or should I take to secure my laptop before using it in public? I just know that if someone knew what they were doing..they could steal information. Help is appreciated..thanks.

Yes, they could get stuff with you with packet sniffers. I would never do something like online banking on a public wifi connection.
