Using MacBook Pro (lid closed) with Cinema Display

I am trying use my macbook pro with its lid closed while connected to my 23" cinema display. However, when I wake up the system with a mouse, the cinema display will wake up (without the menu bar and dock) but after a few seconds, go right back to sleep. What is the problem?

I believe it is a bug with some Macbook Pro systems. Have you run all the EFI updates?

It is good to know that I am not the only one with this problem. I just found a new EFI firmware 1.5.1, I will apply it and see if it fixes it.
