Hey, I was wondering if it'd be possible to use my MBP or lenovo x120 laptop as a secondary display monitor for my computer. The extra screen space would be nice and ever since I built my gaming rig, i don't really use my MBP at home anymore.

No there is no Display input only output. You'd have to disassemble the whole thing and use the panel to build a new monitor with some extra parts.

Air display off the mac app store allows this but i don't recommend it for gaming as the response time is a little off.

Not doable without a huge amount of lag.
