I'm used to using the mouse scrolling to skip forward and back in video files, during the preview in finder and in the quicklook window, as well as the actual video apps.
Now that I've updated to High Sierra, all of those conveniences are gone. I'm actually amazed that I find this so fundamentally useful when trying to preivew video file content without actually opening the file in a new app, that I consider it a deal-breaker for this update.
I now need to figure out how to down-grade back to Sierra.
 
No idea what mouse features you're referring to, I guess I never used them. As far as getting back to Sierra, you have two choices - restore a backup, or do a fresh reinstall of Sierra and reinstall your apps & data.
