i had a wireless G router and now i got the n for a while. i want to use the old one as a expander. my friend told me you have to have a wire going into it from the N router (the main one) so i did that, but he also told me a seeting you have to change in the settings (192.168.1.1) can anyone tell me what this is? i forgot what he told me, it was like 1 year ago.. i finally ran the wire to do it and cant remember.. thanks

Will you be running a long cable? (& I'm not even sure if this will work) If the routers are relatively near each other, they will just be covering the same range.

yea its ran up to the second floor.. its plugged into the router that i want to use to extend the signal. i know it works my friend has like 5 of them in his house but i dont remember what setting i have to change.
